# Implementing TEKS Mathematical Process Standards with TI-Nspire™ Technology

Designed to equip middle grades and high school educators with strategies to excite and engage students, this workshop introduces dynamic, interactive lessons using Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) Mathematical Process Standards. You’ll model rich tasks through in-depth discussions, with an emphasis on task analysis, questioning strategies and essential TI-Nspire™ technology skills to enhance student learning.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll be able to implement TEKS Mathematical Process Standards in your classrooms using TI-Nspire™ technology.

## Overview

This in-person workshop is available in one-, two- and three-day options to accommodate educator-specific needs. The two- and three-day workshops offer a more extensive exploration of topics. A virtual workshop is also available in multiple two- or three-hour sessions.

 Introduction to TEKS Mathematical Process Standards, including how to identify them in action through task analysis. Brief discussions of classroom applications and how technology can support the standards. Overview of essential TI-Nspire™ technology skills. Additional coverage of TEKS Mathematical Process Standards, including video analysis of students engaged in rich tasks. Discussion of questioning strategies that promote student learning. Further exploration of dynamic, interactive content using TI-Nspire™ technology. Deeper discussions of strategies for engaging students in TEKS Mathematical Process Standards. Exploration of formative assessment opportunities and techniques. Reflection on the role of technology in a student-centered classroom.
