Exploring Common Core Topics in High School Mathematics with TI-Nspire™ Technology

Designed for high school algebra, geometry and statistics educators who need support transitioning to Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for Mathematics, this workshop addresses key topics across the six Common Core conceptual categories for high school mathematics, along with essential technology skills for the TI-Nspire™ handheld and TI-Nspire™ Teacher Software.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll be comfortable using the TI-Nspire™ CX handheld and Teacher Software to deepen student understanding of key CCSS topics in algebra, geometry and statistics.

Overview

This in-person workshop is available in one-, two- and three-day options to accommodate educator-specific needs. A half-day workshop option is also available. The two- and three-day workshops offer a more extensive exploration of topics. A virtual workshop is also available in multiple two- or three-hour sessions.

workshop-1-day
  • Coverage of key CCSS domains in algebra, geometry and statistics.
  • Introduction to CCSS for Mathematical Practice.
  • Overview of essential technology skills through exploration of CCSS-aligned content.
workshop-2-day
  • Broader curriculum coverage, including functions, transformational geometry and modeling.
  • Opportunities for differentiation based on teacher needs.
  • Introduction to Teacher Software.
workshop-3-day
  • Extensive coverage of content standards across algebra, functions, modeling, geometry, statistics and probability.
  • Deeper discussions of how technology can support Common Core Math Practices.
  • Additional opportunities for differentiation based on teacher needs.
