  • Get an overview of TI-Nspire™ CX II graphing calculator, including general calculator, graphing and statistical functionality.
  • Explore dynamic and interactive lessons for algebra I and algebra II, geometry, precalculus and calculus, and statistics.
  • Learn the basic features of the TI-Nspire™ CX Premium Teacher Software.

Session 4 | Learning to Code With Python and an Introduction to Turtle Graphics With TI-Technology

  • This session is designed for educators interested in introducing coding to their students using the TI-84 Plus CE Python or TI-Nspire™ CX II graphing calculators.
  • Move your way to a visually rich and engaging experience in coding, mathematics and computational thinking. The Turtle module brings coding to life for students at all skill levels, especially beginners.
  • The principles of coding will be connected to many concepts in the math and science curriculum to increase student understanding.
  • By the end, participants will be familiar with using Python and the transferrable skills to move to the next stage in coding.

11:15 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. | Second morning sessions

Session 5 | AP® Precalculus: Exponential Functions, Logarithmic Functions and Regression

  • Learn how TI technology can be used to investigate the relationship between exponential and logarithmic functions, inverse and composite functions, and the concept of regression as a way to find a model for contextual data.
  • Interpret input and output behavior verbally and with limit notation of both exponential and logarithmic functions.
  • Discuss the idea that over equal-length input values, the outputs of exponential functions are proportional and vice versa with logarithmic functions.

Session 6 | Exploring Algebra I and II Topics With the TI-84 Plus CE

Utilizing the TI-84 Plus CE graphing calculator, we will explore topics such as:

  • Linear functions
  • Systems of linear equations
  • Functions and relations
  • Quadratic, exponential, radical and rational functions

Session 7 | Exploring Algebra I and II Topics With TI-Nspire™ CX II Technology

Utilizing the TI-Nspire™ CX II graphing calculator, we will explore topics such as:

  • Linear functions
  • Systems of linear equations
  • Functions and relations
  • Quadratic, exponential, radical and rational functions

Session 8 | STEM Camps, Clubs and Classroom Projects With the TI-Innovator™ Hub

  • This session is designed for math and science teachers interested in introducing STEM projects in classrooms or summer camps, featuring the TI-Innovator™ Hub and either TI-84 Plus CE or TI-Nspire™ CX II technology.
  • Guide students on the path toward building their own STEM projects with activities that challenge them to address current real-world issues.
