Join us for a discussion on how to help students see and appreciate mathematics as a tool for understanding the world and for solving real-world and authentic problems.

We will discuss some recently developed activities that harness TI technology for students and teachers to experience the power of modeling and data science in addressing questions related to:

  • Disaster relief
  • Disease spread
  • Game strategy
  • Food trucks

Both TI-84 Plus CE and TI-Nspire™ CX families of graphing calculators will be used in this session.
