Making Mathematical Connections Across a Vertical Curriculum

Technology: TI-84 Plus family, TI-Nspire™ Technology
Topic: Teaching Strategies
Speakers: Lynn Adsit

Students can make mathematical connections across topics and grade levels by solving a problem from a previous course using new content they have recently learned, or they can modify how they set up a problem and compare the solutions for both starting points.

Using the same problem again can provide students with a vertically integrated curriculum and a unified view of mathematics.

Join us to take a journey through middle and high school mathematics curriculum by focusing on one rich problem.
