Classifying Quadrilaterals
Students receive two Cabri Jr. files of quadrilaterals on a coordinate plane. They use their knowledge of quadrilaterals to give each one the most precise name. They may find the length and/or slope of the sides using the measuring tools of Cabri Jr. to assist in their classification.https://education.ti.com/en/activity/detail/classifying-quadrilaterals_1
The Coordinate Plane
The purpose of the activity is for students in a beginning algebra course to review the x-y coordinate plane using Cabri Jr.https://education.ti.com/en/activity/detail/the-coordinate-plane
Classifying Triangles by the Length of the Sides Using Cabri Jr.
This activity uses Cabri Jr. to classify triangles according to the length of their sides.https://education.ti.com/en/activity/detail/classifying-triangles-by-the-length-of-the-sides-using-cabri-jr
Watching Your Weight - TI-83
In this activity, students examine how moving a weight up along a board affects the downward force on the board. They explore how children with different weights can be balanced on a seesaw.https://education.ti.com/en/activity/detail/watching-your-weight--ti83
Concurrency & the Circumcenter
In this activity, students will explore the perpendicular bisectors of the sides of a triangle. Students will discover that the perpendicular bisectors are concurrent and that the point of concurrency is the circumcenter. Students should discover the relationship between the type of triangle and ...https://education.ti.com/en/activity/detail/concurrency--the-circumcenter_1
Ratio of Areas
In this activity, students use the CellSheet™ Application to determine geometric ratios of areas. Students determine the position of the vertices of a square that has all four vertices on the sides of a larger square and has a specified area. They also learn how quadratic functions can model geom...https://education.ti.com/en/activity/detail/ratio-of-areas
REAL LIFE REAL WORLD Activity: Archeologist Frieze Patterns
Archeologists, when classifying artifacts, often take note of the physical properties or attributes of artifacts, such as the materials from which the artifacts are made, and their size, shape, function, and decoration. Friezes are often seen as ornaments in architecture. Frieze patterns can be f...https://education.ti.com/en/activity/detail/real-life-real-world-activity-archeologist-frieze-patterns
Rational Addition, Subtraction
This StudyCardstrade; stack covers adding (or subtracting) numerators with simple to complex denominators. The set ends with sums or differences of rational functions with different denominators. Use with Foundations for College Mathematics, Ch. 7.4.https://education.ti.com/en/activity/detail/rational-addition-subtraction
Rational Expression Multiplication
This StudyCards™ set uses guided discovery concepts to develop ideas for functions operations, building from rational expression multiplication and division algorithms. Use with Foundations for College Mathematics, ch. 7.3.https://education.ti.com/en/activity/detail/rational-expression-multiplication
Solve Absolute Value Equation
This StudyCards™ set moves from explaining what an equation is, to solving an equation. The function approach is used to solve the equations. Use with Foundations for College Mathematics, ch. 5-3.https://education.ti.com/en/activity/detail/solve-absolute-value-equation
Solve Linear Equation
This StudyCards™ set begins with "what is an equation?" and continues with solving linear equations using the graph of the related linear function(s), the trace and zeros methods. Use with Foundations for College Mathematics, ch. 5-1.https://education.ti.com/en/activity/detail/solve-linear-equation
Exterior Angle Sums with Cabri Jr.

Solving Equations
Students use the graphing features on the TI-83/84 to solve equations.https://education.ti.com/en/activity/detail/solving-equations
Measuring Angles in a Triangle
In this activity, students learn about the sum of the angles in a triangle. They understand triangles and their interior angles. NCTM Geometry Standard covered: Analyze characteristics and properties of 2- and 3-dimensional geometric shapes and develop mathematical arguments about geometric relat...https://education.ti.com/en/activity/detail/measuring-angles-in-a-triangle
