What steps do I need to do to setup a MAL license for the TI-Nspire Family?
Please follow the steps below to setup a MAL license for the TI-Nspire Family:
1) Go to the Software Service Center and redeem your claim number and download the lservrc license file.
Please Note: After downloading the file verify the file is named lservrc and does not have an extension such as .txt.
2) After redeeming the claim number the Texas Instruments software should be downloaded from the Software Service Center and installed on the client computer. and download the lservrc license file.

To install the software using the Setup.ini file follow the steps listed below:
Please Note: The software can be installed using any method however using the setup.ini method listed below will allow for additional configuration of the software.
1) First download the Setup.ini file from the Software Service Center.
2) Next edit the Setup.ini file using the steps in Knowledgebase Article #32671.
3) Install the software using the steps that matches your operating system listed below:
Windows® Only:
1) Place the Setup.ini file in the same directory as the installer.
Please Note: We are currently aware issues running the installer from UNC paths, it is suggested to copy the installer to the client machine to avoid issues.
2) [Right-Click] the .msi installer and choose [Send To] [Desktop] which creates a shortcut on your desktop.
3) [Right-Click] the shortcut on your desktop and choose the option [Properties].
4) In the properties menu append the text "/qn" without quotes at the end of the "Target" field then click [Apply] then [OK].
5) [Double-Click] the shortcut created on your desktop to install the software.
Mac® Only:
1) Place the Setup.ini file in the /tmp folder.
Please Note: The /tmp folder is hidden on the Mac® platform you can access this location by launching [Finder] then clicking [Go] [Go to Folder] and entering /tmp in the dialog then [Go] to navigate to the directory.
2) [Double-Click] the installation .pkg and go through the normal install process.
After the software installation completes follow the steps below to activate the software:
1) Place the lservrc file in the location listed in the Software Service Center, if you recieve an error the file already exists choose the option [Replace] or [Yes].
2) After the lservrc file has been placed launch the software to verify the lservrc file activates the software correctly.
