Solution 30290: Calculating with an Imaginary Number or the Exponential Constant on the TI-Nspire™ Family Products.

Why am I getting the wrong result when calculating a problem with an imaginary number or the exponential constant on the TI-Nspire family products?

When entering in equations that involve imaginary numbers (i) or exponential constant (e), you would not use the buttons [i] or [e]. These are intended for variables.

To enter the problem correctly, instead you should push the [p] button and choose [i] or [e] from the list.
