Why does the message "Unknown device" display when I connect my TI-84 Plus family device to the TI-Connect CE™ software?
TI-84 Plus family devices with operating system 2.23 or lower are displayed as "Unknown Device" in TI-Connect CE.
When TI-84 Plus family devices that have an operating system version less than the supported configuration are connected to the TI-Connect CE software TI Connect CE will display them as an "Unknown device".
TI Connect CE only supports 2.55 OS and above for the TI-84 Plus family.
Note: The TI-Nspire™ Handheld in TI-84 Plus Mode will also display as "Unknown device", TI Connect (v4.0) is the recommended connectivity software for this device configuration.
