Solution 30891: Displaying Results in Fraction Format Using the TI-84 Plus Family Graphing Calculators and TI-Nspire™ in TI-84 Plus Mode.

How do I change the settings so that the answers are given in fraction format automatically on a TI-84 Plus family graphing calculator or TI-Nspire in TI-84 Plus mode?

Please Note: To check your OS version press [2nd] then [Mem] and select [1:About] and verify it matches the latest version on our website. If it does not please use TI-Connect CE to update the OS. If you are using the TI-Nspire handheld in TI-84 Plus mode please update the TI-Nspire Family OS instead.

To enable this mode follow the steps below:

1) Press [MODE].
2) Press [Down Arrow] ten times. Alternatively, press [Up Arrow] five times.
3) Press [Right Arrow] [Right Arrow].
4) Press [ENTER].

5) Press [2ND] [QUIT].

All answers will now displayed in fraction format.

Please Note: To disable this mode, choose AUTO or DEC instead.

While in this mode, follow the steps below to convert answers to decimail format.

1) Press [MATH] [2].
2) Press [ENTER].
