How can I graph derivatives on a TI-83 family, TI-84 Plus family, or TI-Nspire handheld in TI-84 Plus mode?
When graphing a derivative on the TI-83 family, TI-84 Plus family, or the TI-Nspire handheld in TI-84 Plus Mode, the screen will have two different appearances depending upon whether the mode is set to MATHPRINT or Classic.Example: Graph the derivative of f(x)=x3
Using the MATHPRINT setting on the TI-84 Plus family or the TI-Nspire handheld in TI-84 Plus mode:
• Press [Y=]
• Press [MATH]
• Scroll to nDeriv(

• Press [ENTER]
Note: After pressing [ENTER] you will be returned to the y= menu automatically. If not, please ensure that your graph mode is set to 'FUNC'.

• Press [X,T,q ,n] [X,T,q ,n] [^] [3] right arrow twice [X,T,q ,n] [ENTER]

On the TI-83 family or using the Classic setting on the TI-84 Plus family or TI-Nspire handheld in TI-84 Plus mode:
• Press [Y=]
• Press [MATH]
• Scroll to nDeriv(

• Press [ENTER]
Note: After pressing [ENTER] you will be returned to the Y= menu automatically.
• Press [X,T,q ,n] [^] [3] [,] [X,T,q ,n] [,] [X,T,q ,n] [)] [ENTER]
