Why does Safari® web browser open calculator files as text on a new page when I attempt to download a calculator file?
The Safari® web browser attempts to open any files it is able to within its browser, unfortunately this causes Texas Instruments calculators files to be open within the web browser. To download a file using the Safari® web browser please follow the steps listed below:
• Hover your mouse over the calculator file download link you wish to download • Next press and hold the [Control key] and then [Mouse Click] the download link • A menu should appear with options, select the option [Download Linked File] • If you recieve a message "Would you like to append the extension" choose the option [Don't Append]
Once you have done this the file should download to your computer without issue.
