Solution 12035: Scrolling on the Home Screen on the TI-83 Plus and TI-84 Plus Family of Graphing Calculators When More than Eight Lines Have Been Entered.

How can I scroll the Home screen on the TI-83 Plus and TI-84 Plus family of graphing calculators when more than eight entries have been entered?

The calculators can display a maximum of seven lines, with a maximum of sixteen characters viewable per line, 99 per line total. If all the lines of the display are full, text will automatically scroll off the top of the display.  The calculators retain as many entries as possible in memory, up to a capacity of 128 bytes.

On the TI-83 Plus family there is not a way to scroll back up and select a previously entered entry. However, pressing [2nd] followed by [Enter] will display the previous entry at the bottom of the screen. This sequence can by repeated multiple times to view older entries.

The TI-84 Plus family is able to scroll up using the directional keypad and select previous entries to paste on the entry line. When the entry is highlighted press [Enter] to paste to the entry line.

Please see the TI-83 family and TI-84 Plus family guidebooks for additional information.
