Solution 22030: Device Manager Shows TI-Nspire™ Family Devices Still Connected When They are Unplugged Quickly While Connect-to-Class™ Software is Open.

Why does the Windows Device Manager still show a TI-Nspire family device connected when the device is unplugged quickly during a Connect-to-Class session?

Sometimes, if a device is unplugged during a Connect-to-Class session, Windows® will not release the device. During this time, the device will display in Device Manager as if it were connected, even though the device is physically unplugged. While this device is showing in Device Manager, no other device will be able to be connected to that port.

To remedy this situation, try the following:

• Close Connect-to-Class software.
• Reboot the computer. (Do this only if the above step does not work.)
