Solution 15086: Updating the Emulated TI-84 Plus Family Operating System in TI-SmartView™ Emulator Software
How can I update my TI-84 Plus operating system to the latest version in TI-SmartView 4.0 emulator software?
The TI-SmartView software version 4.0 contains two different calculator models TI-84 Plus and TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition. You can only update one calculator model at a time.
To update the TI-84 Plus emulator calculator follow the steps below:
1) Download and save the latest TI-84 Plus OS file onto the computer's desktop.
2) Open the TI-SmartView 4.0 emulator software and click [View] [Graphing Calculator Model] [TI-84 Plus] to place the emulator in TI-84 Plus mode.
3) Click [File] [Load File].
4) Navigate to the computer's desktop and locate the OS file.
5) Double-click on the OS file to begin the transfer process. It should take approximately 3 - 5 minutes to complete.
To update the TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition emulator calculator follow the steps below:
1) Download and save the latest TI-84 Plus C OS file onto the computer's desktop.
Please Note: To download the latest OS files for the TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition contact TI-Cares.
2) Open the TI-SmartView 4.0 emulator software and click [View] [Graphing Calculator Model] [TI-84 Plus] to place the emulator in TI-84 Plus C mode.
3) Click [File] [Load File].
4) Navigate to the computer's desktop and locate the OS file.
5) Double-click on the OS file to begin the transfer process. It should take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.
Please Note: At the end of the transfer process the handheld will validate the Operating System which may take 5 minutes to complete.
