Solution 35031: Calculating nth Powers Using the TI-36X Pro Scientific Calculator. 

How do I calculate nth powers using the TI-36X Pro? 

To raise a number by an exponent, use [x^[]].

Example: 3⁴

• Press [3].
• Press [x^[]].
• Press [4] [enter].

Example: -2²

• Press [ ( ] [(-)].

NOTE: The [(-)] key is called the negate key and is located below [3].

• Press [2] [ ) ].
• Press [x^[]].
• Press [2] [enter].
