Solution 34151: Calculating the Poisson Pdf using the TI-36X Pro.

How do I calculate the Poisson Pdf using the TI-36X Pro?

Poisson Pdf computes a probability at x for the discrete Poisson distribution with the specified mean mu (m), which must be a real number > 0. X can be an non-negative integer (SINGLE) or a list of integers (LIST).

Example: Given mu=6 and x=10 find the probability for the discrete Poisson distribution using the following steps:

1) Press [2nd] [stat-reg/distr].
2) Arrow over to DISTR.
3) Press 6: Poissonpdf.
4) Highlight SINGLE and press [enter].
5) Input 6 for mean=mu=.
6) Input 10 for x.
7) Highlight calc and press [enter].
8) Your displayed answer (0.041303093) will appear next to VALUE=.
