How are fractions converted on the TI-30X IIB / TI-30X IIS?
The TI-30X IIB / TI-30X IIS will convert to decimals, fractions, mixed numbers, and improper fractions. To do these conversions follow the instructions listed below:
Converting a Fraction to Decimal form:(ex. 1/4)
1) Enter 1, press [A b/c], and enter 4
2) Press [2nd] [PRB] for Fraction to Decimal
3) Press [ENTER]
4) .25 will be displayed
Converting a Decimal to Fraction form: (ex. .75)
1) Enter .75
2) Press [2nd] [PRB] for Fraction to Decimal
3) Press [ENTER]
4) 3/4 will be displayed
Entering a mixed fraction: (ex. 1 2/3)
1) Enter 1 and press [A b/c]
2) Enter 2, press [A b/c], and then input 3
To Convert to improper fraction form:(ex. 1 2/3)
1) Enter 1 and press [A b/c]
2) Enter 2, press [A b/c], and then input 3
3) Press [2nd] [A b/c] and press [ENTER]
4) 5/3 will be displayed
