How do I perform Trigonometry calculations on the TI-30Xa, TI-30Xa SE, TI-34, or TI-36X Solar.

For degrees:

Please Note: Check the display to determine that DEG is highlighted. If not, press the [DRG] key until DEG is highlighted.

1) Sine of 30 degrees. (.5)
Enter 30 and press the [SIN] key.

2) Cosine of 30 degrees. (.866025.....)
Enter 30 and press the [COS] key.

3) Tangent of 30 degrees. (.57735.....)
Enter 30 and press the [TAN] key.

For radians: 

Please Note: Press the [DRG] key. (This will set the mode to RAD rather than DEG.)

1) Sine of p radians. (0)
Enter p and press the [SIN] key.

2) Cosine of p radians. (-1)
Enter p and press the [COS] key.

3) Tangent of p radians. (0)
Enter p and press the [TAN] key.
