Solution 25490: What is the Ohio Gradualtion Test (OGT) Red Calculator and why is it referred to as the TI-30XIISR?

What is the Ohio Gradualtion Test (OGT) Red Calculator and why is it referred to as the TI-30XIISR?

Texas Instruments has produced a red TI-30X IIS specifically for the state of Ohio to use for their Ohio Graduation Tests (OGT).  These schools refer to it as the TI-30XIISR.

The TI-30X IIS produced for the OGT testing is red and has the OGT logo on the face and it is provided at testing sites.

There is also a red unit available for Ohio schools that does not have the OGT logo. These are available through Copco, an instructional product dealer. (Please see attached picture).

Both of the red TI-30XIISR calculators have the same functionality as the blue 30X IIS or 30X IIB so parents can purchase them for class work (if the school allows) or for home study. The blue TI-30X IIS or TI-30X IIB will not be allowed in the testing area.
