Solution 22230: Resolving the Error "Insufficient Memory" When Transferring Data to a TI-89 Family, TI-92 Family, or Voyage™ 200.

How do I resolve the error "Insufficient Memory" when trying to transfer data to the TI-89 Family, TI-92 Family, or Voyage 200?

When trying to transfer Apps or Programs on a TI-89 family, TI-92 family or Voyage 200 and there is not enough RAM memory to transfer the complete data, the "Insufficient Memory" error will appear. All calculators must have a certain amount of RAM available so that they can perform their various functions. If this message is displayed users will need to delete any unused data including some programs, variables, lists, matrices or anything else that takes up RAM space. To delete this data, please see the below instructions:

  • Press [ON] [2nd] [VAR-LINK] (which is located above the minus key)
  • Highlight the data to be removed. "Prgm", "Matrix", "List", etc. (Programs generally use up the most RAM.)
  • Press [F1] [ENTER]

Pleate Note: TI Connect allows users to back up their data, copy the RAM, and save the contents to the computer to be reloaded whenever desired.

Please see the TI-89 family, TI-92 family and Voyage 200 guidebooks for additional information.
