Solution 10441: Resolving ERROR 13 DIMENSION or ERROR 12 DIM MISMATCH Message on the TI-86.

What does ERROR 13 DIMENSION or ERROR 12 DIM MISMATCH on the TI-86 mean?

The ERROR 13 DIMENSION or ERROR 12 DIM MISMATCH is the result of one or more stat plots being selected when not using the stat plots feature of the TI-86.

The following key sequence can be used to turn the stat plots off: 

1) [2nd] [STAT] 
2) [F3] 
3) [F5] 
4) [ENTER]

This will turn all plots off and should allow for normal graphing.

If this does not work, reset the memory of the unit.
Please Note: All memory will be erased, and the defaults will be reset.

1) Press [2nd] [MEM]
2) Choose [F3]
3) Select [F1] once more to choose ALL
4) Press [F4] to confirm this choice
