Solution 12164: The Ceiling() Function on the TI-89 Family, TI-92 Family, and Voyage™ 200 Graphing Calculators.

How do I use the ceiling() function on the TI-89 family, TI-92 family, and Voyage 200 graphing calculators?

The ceiling() function returns the nearest integer that is greater than or equal to its argument. The argument can be a real number, complex number, list, or matrix.

Examples:

1. If you enter in ceiling(0.456) , it will return 1 as the answer

2. If you enter in ceiling({-3.1,1,2.5}), it  will return {-3 1 3} as the answer

Please see the TI-89 family, TI-92 family and Voyage 200 guidebooks for additional information.
