Solution 12079: Creating Truth Tables Using the TI-89 Family, TI-92 Family, and Voyage™ 200.

How do I create truth tables using the TI-89 family, TI-92 family, and Voyage 200?

A truth table can be created using 2 lists and the test operators on the TI-89 family, TI-92 family, and Voyage 200. To access the test operators, press [2nd] [MATH] and select 8:Test.

For an example truth table, follow the steps below:

1) Create a list called A with the numbers 0, 1, 0 and 1. To do this, press [HOME] (on the TI-92 Plus and Voyage 200, press [♦] [Q]), input {0,1,0,1}, then press [STO->] [ALPHA] [A] [ENTER].
2) Create a list called B with the numbers 0, 0, 1 and 1. To do this, press [HOME], input {0,0,1,1}, then press [STO->] [ALPHA] [B] [ENTER].
3) Input a and b and press [ENTER]. The "and" test operator can be accessed by pressing [2nd] [MATH] [8] [8].

This will return a response of {0,0,0,1}. Each 0 indicates a false response and each 1 indicates a true response.

Please see the TI-89 family, TI-92 family, and Voyage 200 guidebooks for additional information.
