Before the Activity

Setup your TI Navigator system. You should be comfortable with Send to Class, Screen Capture, and Quick Poll. This lesson is intended to be used as a review and to assess student understanding of decimal operations.

During the Activity

Use Quick Poll (Open Response) with the following prompts:(after each quick poll, discuss solution).

1. 5.5 + 1.4
2. 3.4 - 2.5
3. 2.3 x 2.7
4. 3.5 divided by 1.3

Send the Decimal Review LearnCheck to the students. This activity is intended as a learning review. Students may work alone or in small groups to answer the questions. You may wish to circulate the room to answer students' questions and use the screen capture to assess students' progress.

After the Activity

As a class, review student answers, discussing questions that appeared to be more challenging, and re-teaching as needed. Send the Decimal Quiz Learn Check. Have students complete the quiz to assess student understanding.
