Activity Overview
The students will use the .tns document CHORDS2 to discover the relationship between the length of a chord and its distance from the center of a circle.
Before the Activity
- Download the .tns document CHORDS2 to handhelds using TI-Nspire Computer link software or Connect to Class software.
- Students should do the worksheet "Using TI-Nspire to Explore".
During the Activity
This activity is a lesson launcher for understanding the relationship between the length of a chord and its distance from the center of a circle.
1) Distribute the Student Worksheet for Chords and distance from center.
2) Students use the .tns document CHORDS2 to answer questions from student worksheet.
After the Activity
Review student results from worksheet.
