Activity Overview

The graphing calculator's symbolic capacities make it ideal for teachers and students of calculus. Here are some examples of how teachers and students can use the calculator to better understand calculus.

Students will be able to use the graphing calculator for the following:

  • Definition of the derivative.
  • Implicit functions.
  • min/max problems.
  • After the Activity

  • Review student results
  • As a class, discuss questions that appeared to be more challenging
  • Re-teach concepts as necessary
