Activity Overview
This activity serves as a follow-up to Activity 3 in the Explorations book, Math and Science in Motion: Activities for Middle School by Chris Brueningsen, Elisa Brueningsen, and Bill Bower (Texas Instruments Incorporated, 1997).
Before the Activity

In this activity, students demonstrate their understanding of the connection between a movement's speed and the steepness of its slope when plotted on a graph. Have students complete Activity 3 from the EXPLORATIONS book first.
