This activity gives students an opportunity to select and create the most appropriate graph to represent a given data set.
Students are given several sets of data by transferring lists to the calculator. With the lists, students are instructed to create a scatter plot, histogram, box plot, and circle graph.
From each graph students will determine, what they can infer about the data and how the graph varies from the other types of graphs. At the end of the activity, students should be able to choose the most appropriate graph for various types of data.
