Activity Overview
Students take measurements of individual's wing span and height and create a coordinate graph. The activity should include at least three different grade levels. Students submit an equation through "Activity Center" and the class compares the different equations.
Before the Activity
Students should set up two measuring stations in the classroom for measuring height and wing span. Data should be recorded for three different grade levels.
During the Activity
Students take measurements of individual's wing span and height and create a coordinate graph. The activity should include at least three different grade levels. Students submit an equation through "Activity Center" and the class compares the different equations.
After the Activity
Students will make scatterplots from the data and do a linear regression analysis with the TI-84.
