Activity Overview
In this activity sequence, using the TI-Navigator™ system, students control points in the xy-plane. Exploring this space freely and responding to prompts, the students will develop understanding and intuition that will guide their use of graphing in Algebra throughout the year.
Before the Activity
If you are using the TI-Navigator System with the TI-73 you will need the attached .pdf file.
Make sure you are familiar with the following TI Navigator system functions: Send to Class, Collect from Class, Screen Capture, Quick Poll and Activity Center

During the Activity
Students will:
Collectively explore the Cartesian coordinate
Draw conclusions about the coordinate system based on their exploration
Begin to make connections between their individual point on the grid with the collective classes? points
After the Activity
Assess your students? understanding by using the Quick Poll feature as desired.
