Activity Overview
Students will explore different rates of change. Using the TI-Nspire students will be expected to make predictions based upon information that a Pharaoh has given. Students will explore points in a scatter plot of time and height on the building of a pyramid in ancient times. They will calculate the rates of changes and answer questions based upon information given from the Pharaoh. An investigative activity that relates Rate of Change and Slope of a line.
Before the Activity
Download the activity and assessment. Teachers will want to transfer the TNS file to the students handhelds before starting the activity. Use the asssessment during the activity so that the teacher is able to gauge student learning.
During the Activity
