Activity Overview
Students construct a model of a house, drawing pictures of the people and pets in the house. Students use skip counting strategies to find possible combinations of people and pets that live in their classmates houses with the help of pictures and TI-10.

Follow the activity procedures:
Activity A:
Read The Napping House book and discuss how many feet are in the bed
Activity B:
Fold paper to model a house
Draw pictures of people and pets in the house
Find the total number of feet in the house
Activity C:
Develop skip counting patterns for people and pets
Observe the pattern formed
Activity D:
Display a house with certain number of feet inside
Explore different combinations of who or what may live inside the house
Use the calculator to check the answer
