Disappearing Wetlands: Examine changes in sediment deposition at locations along the Mississippi River using data collected at two stations by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

During the Activity

Students will:

  • Examine changes in sediment deposition at locations along the Mississippi River
  • Use data collected at two stations by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS)
  • Import data and use the TI-73 Explorer™ to graph and analyze the monthly and annual changes in sediment deposition at locations in the upper and lower Mississippi River
