Activity Overview
This activity will help students develop an alternate method for solving systems of equations by using matrices and multiplying by an inverse matrix.
Before the Activity
Students should have studied the solutions of systems of equations by graphing prior to this lesson. Additional directions noted in attachments.
During the Activity
Teacher will lead student discussions and monitor the students' work developing the process for solving systems with matrices.
After the Activity
Teacher will lead whole-group discussion to guide students in development of vocabulary used in assessment questions.
