Students will count the fronds of duckweed for nine days to observe the growth phase. Students will need one class period to start the experiment and one day for the final work and 15 minutes per day between start and finish.

During the Activity
Students will spend 15 minutes a day for nine days counting the fronds of the duckweed plant. On day nine, the students will use their TI-Nspire to perform a regression analysis.
After the Activity
Extension: Students research the duckweed plant.
