Activity Overview
This activity is designed to allow students an opportunity to gain an understanding of the relationship among the segments formed by two secants drawn from a common external point to a circle. It includes an interactive geometry page, some circle problems, and a Euclidean proof.
Before the Activity
See Teacher Notes in Word document. Download the TNS file and have it available for students.
During the Activity
See Student Worksheet and TI-Nspire (.tns) file. Have students complete the activity in the TNS file or on the worksheet.
After the Activity
You can collect the TNS file back from the students for grading (if they completed the activity on their calculators).
