Activity Overview
Students will generate equations in an attempt to match the left side of a Christmas tree.
Before the Activity
Load the SCD linear Activity Center setting
During the Activity
Students will log in to NavNet and select Activity Center. Begin the activity and ask the students to submit an equation that they think will line up with the left side of the tree.
Pause the activity and allow the class to discuss the lines that have appeared so far. Resume the activity and allow the students to refine their equations until you have some good matches.
After the Activity
Ask the students to summarize the critical attributes of the equations that generated the best matches. Ask them how they refined their equations.
