Activity Overview

You have studied how to solve one-step equations. Now you are ready to explore the solution to the following type of equation: 5x ? 3 = 17

Before the Activity

If you are using the TI-Navigator System with the TI-73 you will need the attached .pdf file.
Send each question to individual students as a prompt in the activity center.

During the Activity

Students are then sent a point to place on the coordinate system to indicate the correct values of each step when solving the equation.

After the Activity

Review student results:
