Activity Overview
Teacher will use the TI-Navigator™ to submit graphs of absolute value functions and students will attempt to match the teacher graphs while logged on to TI-Navigator. Several questions are suggested to help students analyze the functions and internalize their understanding.
Before the Activity
Provide students with blank grids to use in sketching the graphs of functions. Open TI-Navigator and load Activity Fcn Match 5 settings. Written files are instructions for the teacher. The teacher will submit absolute value functions for student matches and questions via Quick Poll to help students analyze functions and internalize learning.
After the Activity
Students are to write a written reflection after the activities. Several potential questions are suggested within the activities for the reflection. Additional time may be required depending on the number of quick poll question submitted to students.
