Activity Overview
Students will measure various parts of their bodies to determine if their measures are a positive, negative or none.
Before the Activity
Students should be reminded only boys measure boys and girls measure girls.
Students should have at least an introduction to scatter plots.
During the Activity
students measure each other in the following areas:
Head, Wrist, Neck, and Height.
Students should be in groups of no more than 4.
Each group will get a seperate x and y value to plot.
The rest is explained on the handout.
After the Activity
Students through the use of screen captures will come up to the smart board and explain their plot.
