Activity Overview
Students will examine several graphs containing two functions and determine which graph is the function and which graph is the derivative.
Before the Activity
Download the teacher file and TI-Nspire document file.
During the Activity
Have students explain, using words such as decreasing and increasing, to the class how they determined whether each graph is a function or a derivative function.
After the Activity
Have students record general relationships between functions and their derivatives.
