Activity Overview
This is a learn check to help pretest your class on terms used in Goal 3 of the High School Assessment Core Learning Goals for Algebra.
Before the Activity
Students should have access to either the TI-83 Plus or TI-84 Plus family of calculators.
During the Activity
You will use the TI-Navigator™ to hand out the goal3vocab.edu file that can be used to pre-test your students as to what needs to stressed in preparation for the Maryland High School Algebra Assessment. This is just the basic vocabulary for the goal and does not include all vocabulary need to be successful in the goal.
After the Activity
Review student results:
As a class, discuss questions that appeared to be more challenging
Re-teach concepts as necessary
