Science: Shedding Light on the Weather with Relative Humidity

by Texas Instruments

Overview

In this activity, students will collect the data for temperature and relative humidity and plot the data. They will look for the patterns displayed by the three plots and relate them to their experiences.

Key Steps

  • Image

This group activity gives students a chance to use hourly temperature and relative humidity data from the National Weather Service and other sources to collaboratively analyze the graphs for patterns and to make conjectures as a class.

  • Image

Students look at temperature and relative humidity bivariately instead of as a time graph to confirm their conjectures.
