Students model the process of cooling and use a cooling curve to simulate a forensic scenario to predict the time of death. They use technology to find an exponential plot.
Students will use the Vernier EasyTemp® temperature probe to measure the cooling of the potato- "Mr. Spud".
Students will use the data to create a scatter plot to determine the appropriate regression model for the data, which then leads to the calculation of the time of death of Mr. Spud.
