Using Activity Center, students will "march" to the appropriate triangle segment.

This activity allows the entire class to demonstrate understanding of vocabulary words necessary to start right trianlge trigonometry: opposite side, adjacent side and hypotenuse side.

This activity is a good closure activity, or a simple review.

Before completing this activity, teach students the definitions of opposite side, adjacent side and hypotenuse for a right triangle.

Start the activity. Ask students to move to the side adjacent to angle A. The activity is set up so that students just move around and do not plot points. Then ask students to move to the side opposite of Angle A. Then ask students to move to the hypotenuse. Summarizing each class response will reinforce the vocabulary and student understanding.
