Students are given 3 - 4 points to plot in activity center. Students practice plotting points an can review the coordinate plane.
Before the Activity
Print out the points you want the students to plot in activity center. Load the activity settings. Make sure that you allow students to submit enough points.
During the Activity
The teacher may choose to pass out only the points that have positive x coordinates. Then students could finish the activity by plotting the reflection across teh y-axis.
After the Activity
Class discussion should review the coordinate plane, symmetry. If the teacher has the students transform points by adding or subtracting values you can also introduce transformations.
