Activity Overview

Students use the Cabri Geometry™ II Plus software to invert, rotate and dilate a figure.

Before the Activity

Download the Cabri Geometry software on the computer

See the attached FIG file for details of this activity

During the Activity

Follow the Activity procedure:

Drag the vertices of the polygons, which are used to construct the house, around the screen

Select the dilate, invert, and rotate tools from the Cabri geometry software and perform the actions on the house

After the Activity

Review student results:

As a class, discuss questions that appeared to be more challenging

Re-teach concepts as necessary
