Using Cabri Jr. and various "areas" to explore using P(Geo).

Before the Activity

Review the concept of Geometric Probability.

Make sure that the concept of "need versus have" is reinforced.

Download the worksheets and needed calculator files.

Make sure students have Cabri Jr.™ on their calculators.

During the Activity

Follow the procedures outlines in the attached document. You can use Part 1 as an introduction, then Part 2 builds on the concept, and Part 3 includes a quiz to evaluate student understanding.

After the Activity

Grade the quizzes and see where, if any, misconceptions are still held.

Assign additional work if needed.
