Using Activities With an LMS

How do I use an LMS with TI technology and science activities?

It's easy to use TI's science activities with a Learning Management System (LMS), TI-Nspire™ CX II graphing calculator and TI-Nspire™ CX II Connect (a free file-sharing app).

Discover how you can quickly add these activities into your classroom by following the steps below.

1
Teacher finds an activity on ScienceNspired.com.
2

Teacher copies .tns file link address, and then pastes it into the LMS as an assignment.

Tip:

Build an assessment in the LMS, or set up a Google Form (or similar), using questions from the activity.
Check out this lesson with an example.

3

Student receives assigned lesson from teacher, then:

a

Connects TI-Nspire™ CX II graphing calculator into computer.

b

Downloads .tns file to computer.

d

Finds file on computer, then selects Connect to Calculator > File Transfer > To Calculator.

e

Opens .tns file and completes assignment on the graphing calculator.

4

Student submits their work through the LMS, following prompts from the teacher (answering questions, using the TI-Nspire™ CX II Connect to take a screenshot, etc.).

5

Teacher receives work back and explores with students in class or reviews individually.
